1 cup of peanut butter (we prefer Jif, creamy)
1 stick of butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 t. vanilla extract
1 egg, beaten
1 1/4 cup of flour (add 1/4 cup more if sticky)
1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
Hersey’s Kisses (you could even use flavored ones if you prefer)
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Cream the butter and both kinds of sugar in mixer. Add in the egg and the vanilla. Mix well.
Add the flour, baking soda and salt into the mixer.
Finally, add the peanut butter and mix. This should be smooth.
Roll the dough into balls and place on cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes depending on the size of your cookie balls. And as soon as you remove them from the oven place an unwrapped Kiss in the middle of each hot cookie. Let cool for 1-2 minutes and remove cookies from the cookie sheet to finish cooling.
