Taylor’s family grew up with this ice cream as a summer staple. Now our kiddos are doing the same. It doesn’t matter what ice cream I fix it is always compared to this recipe…and all others come up lacking.
Over the years Nanny and Pop have tweaked the recipe a little bit. I love that they are willing to try to make a great recipe even better. At some point the Cream Brûlée entered and just recently he tried the Cool Whip. Both additions have bumped a winner up even further!
When I asked which recipe Elizabeth Jane wanted me to feature the week of her birthday there was absolutely no question. This one was hand’s down the choice. We hope your family enjoys it as much as we do!
