This is a tried and true recipe at our home. It is so easy that Elizabeth Jane has made these on our insta story to demonstrate the recipe. All the kids like this one. Our family is so big that I usually double this recipe. However, because I do not use a lot of the mayonnaise sauce I only make one making of it.
These also reheat very well. The kids race to the fridge for the leftovers.
This would be a HUGE WIN for a group of teenager when they are gathering at your house...if you would like to learn more about having teens over check out this article called 5 Simple Tips for Hosting Teens.
8 pieces of chicken tenderloins
1 can of crescent rolls
1/3 cup of mayonnaise (I have used salad dressing but mayo is better)
1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
sliced mozzarella cheese
3 T of butter
salt and pepper
1 T of minced garlic
Heat the oven to 375 degrees and spray the cookie sheet with Pam before using.
There are two ways you could choose to cook your chicken. You could use 2 T of butter in a medium high skillet for about 5 minutes on each side. Another option is just to grill them for about the same time. We prefer it grilled but it will work either way.
In a small bowl, mix the mayo and parmesan cheese.
Unroll each triangle of crescent rolls and place a cooked chicken tenderloin across the wide end of the roll. Spread the mayo to the thickness you prefer. Lay 1/2 a piece of mozzarella cheese across the top of the mayo.
Roll the crescent around each piece of chicken. Melt 1 T of butter in microwave and add the garlic. Brush over the top of the rolls and sprinkle with the grated parmesan cheese. Put these on the cookie sheet.
Bake for 14-15 minutes or until golden brown.
